Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde on Monday dismissed claims of an 'ongoing fight' within the Mahayuti for the chief minister's position. Additionally, Shinde stated that within the Opposition formation-- Maha Vikas Agadi, personal ambitions for the top post supersede their desire to work for the people of the state.

In an exclusive interview to CNBC TV18, Shinde expressed confidence that the poll outcome will be in favour of the current ruling dispensation, as the government has prioritised 'welfare politics' over 'individual aspirations'. He further added that the Mahayuti will decide unanimously about its chief ministerial candidate after the declaration of the outcome on November 23.
