In a related note, Ganguly addressed a significant issue from the 2024 Madhyamik examinations. Marks for 12,468 candidates were revised upward after a review of their answer sheets. This review process was undertaken following complaints and subsequent verification, revealing discrepancies in the initial marking.

“This should not have happened,” Ganguly stated, emphasizing the responsibility of the examiners. He attributed the initial lower marking to errors by the respective examiners, underscoring the need for stricter quality control and training for those involved in the evaluation process. The board is expected to implement measures to prevent such issues in the future, ensuring fair and accurate assessment of students' performance.

The announcement of the 2025 Madhyamik exam dates provides students with ample time to prepare and focus on their studies. The WBBSE is committed to conducting the exams smoothly and addressing any concerns that may arise, ensuring a fair and transparent examination process for all candidates.
