The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) will begin the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations today, February 24, 2025. With over 54 lakh students registered across 8,140 examination centres, the state is witnessing one of its largest academic events.
The exam will begin with the Hindi paper for Class 10 students in the first shift, followed by the Healthcare paper in the second shift. Meanwhile, Class 12 students started their exams with the Military Science paper in the morning and will appear for the Hindi exam in the afternoon.
However, due to the ongoing Mahakumbh festivities in Prayagraj, the Day 1 exams in the district have been rescheduled to March 9. This decision was made to ensure smooth conduct of the examinations and to avoid logistical challenges caused by the massive influx of pilgrims.
Exam Day Guidelines for Students and Parents
The UPMSP has issued a set of guidelines to help students and parents navigate the examination process smoothly:
- Admit Cards and Stationery: Students must carry their admit cards and necessary stationery, including pens, pencils, and geometry boxes. Electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, and calculators are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
- Reporting Time: Candidates are advised to reach their respective examination centers at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. Latecomers will not be permitted to enter.
- Stress Management: To address exam-related anxiety, the board has set up a dedicated helpdesk operational from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Students and parents can also seek assistance through toll-free helpline numbers: 18001806607 and 18001806608. Additionally, regional offices in Meerut, Bareilly, Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur have provided special counseling numbers for further support.

This year, a total of 54,37,233 students are appearing for the UP Board exams, with Class 10 and Class 12 candidates distributed across the state.
