The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the results of the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier 1 Examination, 2024, today, 5 December 2024. Candidates who appeared for the examination can check their results on the official website, ssc.gov.in.
The SSC CGL Tier 1 examination was conducted from 9 September to 26 September 2024 in a computer-based mode. The provisional answer keys were released on 3 October 2024, and candidates were given time until 8 October 2024 to raise objections. This year, the examination is being conducted to fill 17,727 Group B and Group C vacancies across various government ministries, departments, and organisations.

As the Tier 1 examination was conducted in multiple shifts, the marks scored by candidates have been normalised. The normalisation process follows the formula published by the SSC on its official website on 7 February 2019. The normalised marks were used to shortlist candidates for the Tier 2 examination.
Cut-Off Criteria
Based on the marks scored in the Tier 1 examination, candidates have been shortlisted category-wise for the Tier 2 examination. Separate cut-offs have been determined for the following:
- Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) (List-1)
- Statistical Investigator Grade-II (SI) (List-2)
- All other posts (List-3)
As per Para 16.1 of the SSC CGL Examination Notice, the minimum qualifying marks for Tier 1 are:
- Unreserved (UR): 30%
- Other Backward Classes (OBC)/Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 25%
- All Other Categories: 20%
Candidates meeting these minimum qualifying marks and the cut-off scores specific to their post and category have been shortlisted for the next stage of the selection process.
