The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has extended the registration deadline for the Maharashtra Common Eligibility Test (MHT CET) 2025. Candidates can now apply until February 27, 2025, with a late fee of Rs 500.
The MHT CET 2025 is an entrance examination conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai. It is held for admissions to professional courses in Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, B.Planning, M.Planning (Integrated), and Agricultural Education.
The exam will be conducted in two groups:
- PCB Group: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
- PCM Group: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
The question paper will follow a weightage of 20% from the Class 11 curriculum and 80% from the Class 12 syllabus, as per the CET Cell. There will be no negative marking in the exam. The difficulty level for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics will be similar to JEE Mains, while for Biology, it will be at par with NEET.

The MHT CET 2025 application fee varies by category:
- General Category (Open), Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), and J&K Migrants: Rs 1,000
- Reserved Categories (SC, ST, VJ/DTNT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC, SEBC, EWS, PwD, Orphan, and Transgender Candidates): Rs 800
