Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has commenced the application process for PhD programs for the academic year 2024-25 through NET (UGC-CSIR), JRF, and GATE. Application and Correction Dates
Candidates applying through NET (UGC-CSIR), JRF, or GATE (for the School of Engineering only) must submit separate applications. Once the application window closes, applicants will have an opportunity to correct their details online between December 3 and December 4, 2024.

Documents Required for Oral Examination
Applicants must bring the following documents to the oral examination:
- Two recommendation letters, including one from a former teacher.
- A detailed list of subjects/questions studied.
- A copy of at least one published research paper, if available.
- A brief note outlining research interests and future professional goals.
- A research proposal to be presented during the oral examination.
- Self-attested printout of NET (UGC/CSIR/GATE) scorecard.
- Valid JRF certificate (self-attested) for those applying under the JRF category, including fellowship validity dates.
- Statement of Purpose (SOP) for foreign national applicants.
