JEE Main 2026 Registration Starts in October 2025
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 application form in October 2025. Students must complete the registration process online at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Keeping documents ready in advance will help avoid last-minute mistakes during application submission.
Two Exam Sessions for Better Opportunities
JEE Main 2026 will be conducted in two sessions – Session 1 in January 2026 and Session 2 in April 2026. Candidates can appear in either one or both sessions. The best score from the two attempts will be considered for merit ranking, giving students another chance to improve their performance.
Aadhaar Card Must Be Updated
NTA has advised candidates to ensure their Aadhaar card details are correct before filling the application form. The name, date of birth, father’s name, and photograph should match the Class 10 certificate. Any discrepancy in Aadhaar may lead to rejection of the application later.
UDID Card Required for PwD Candidates
Candidates applying under the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category must have a valid UDID card. The card should be updated and renewed if necessary, as it will be used to verify eligibility for reservation and other exam-related relaxations.
Category Certificates Should Be Valid
Students belonging to EWS, SC, ST, or OBC-NCL categories must possess valid certificates issued by a competent authority. Expired or incorrectly issued certificates will not be accepted. Without the correct category certificate, applicants will not be able to claim reservation benefits during admission.
Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2026
To apply, candidates should have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) in 2024 or 2025, or be appearing in 2026. Core subjects should include Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry or a technical subject. While there is no age limit, students can attempt JEE Main for three consecutive years only.
Keep Checking Official NTA Websites
NTA will announce all important updates, including exam dates, admit cards, and results, on its official portals – nta.ac.in and jeemain.nta.nic.in. Students are strongly advised to check these sites regularly to avoid missing any critical announcements.
