The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, has announced the important dates for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2025, which is a crucial exam for admission to the prestigious IITs. The exam will be held on May 18, 2025, and registration for the exam will begin on April 23, 2025. The last date to register for the exam is May 2, 2025.
In addition to the registration period, candidates will have until May 5, 2025, to pay the registration fee. The admit cards for JEE Advanced 2025 will be released on May 11, 2025, and candidates will have until the day of the exam to download their hall ticket. The examination will be conducted in a computer-based mode. Paper 1 will be held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and Paper 2 will take place from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM on May 18, 2025.
The provisional answer key for the exam will be released on May 26, 2025, and the final answer key along with the results will be declared on June 2, 2025.
For candidates with disabilities (PwD), compensatory time of one hour will be provided for each paper if they have a disability with at least 40% impairment, as per the guidelines.

- The candidate must have been born on or after October 1, 2000. There is a relaxation of 5 years for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
- Candidates must have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2024 or 2025.
- Candidates who have accepted admission to any IIT through JoSAA in the past are not eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2025.
- For Indian Nationals:
- Female candidates (all categories): Rs 1,600
- SC, ST, PwD candidates: Rs 1,600
- All other candidates: Rs 3,200
- For Foreign Nationals:
- Candidates from SAARC countries: USD 200
- Candidates from non-SAARC countries: USD 100
- Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) 2025
Candidates who qualify for JEE Advanced 2025 and wish to join the BArch programme at IIT (BHU) Varanasi, IIT Kharagpur, or IIT Roorkee must appear for the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT). Registration for AAT 2025 will begin on June 2, 2025, and end on June 3, 2025. The AAT examination will be held on June 5, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with results to be declared on June 8, 2025. Candidates must present their JEE Advanced admit card to appear for the AAT exam.
