GATE 2026

The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati), the organizing institute for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026, has begun the registration process today, August 28. Candidates can begin their applications online starting August 28, 2025, through the official portal, gate2026.iitg.ac.in.

The examination is important for students seeking admission to Master's and direct Doctoral programs in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) at prestigious institutions like IITs, NITs, and IIITs. Additionally, a qualifying GATE score is a fundamental requirement for engineering recruitment in numerous Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
