The University of Delhi (DU) has announced a special mop-up admission round for the 2025-26 academic session. Notably, this round will grant admission based solely on candidates' Class XII marks, bypassing the mandatory CUET requirement for the first time this season.
The university has activated the application window on its DU CSAS (Common Seat Allocation System) portal, inviting eligible students to apply. This final round is designed to accommodate three specific categories of applicants: those who were unable to secure a seat in earlier counselling rounds, students who did not appear for the CUET exam but are eligible through their Class XII scores, and those seeking an upgrade from their currently allotted college or course.
According to the official schedule, candidates who are selected must formally accept their allotted seat by 5:00 PM on September 11. Subsequently, the admission process must be completed by paying the requisite fees by September 13.
The application process is entirely online. Interested and eligible candidates must register on the DU admission portal. While students who took CUET can use their existing credentials, those applying based on Class XII marks will need to register using their board examination details. The process involves selecting preferences for courses and colleges, followed by uploading necessary documents, including the Class XII marksheet, a government-issued ID proof, and photographs. The registration is finalized upon payment of a non-refundable application fee.
This mop-up round serves as an opportunity for students who missed the CUET window or were unsuccessful in earlier rounds to secure a seat in one of the nation's premier universities. Individual colleges under the DU umbrella are now preparing to list their vacant seats across various undergraduate programmes.
Applicants are advised to monitor the official DU admission portal closely for real-time updates on seat availability and to ensure they meet the critical deadlines for this final chance at admission.
