Doha sticks to 'my place, my choice' motto, tops overseas centres in NEET score

Doha is not just a tourist hotspot for Indians. The Qatar capital, which attracts tourists with the slogan 'It’s My Place, My Choice', topped the league of 14 overseas centres as home to 4.3 percent of the students who secured more than 600 in the medical entrance test this year.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) this year saw 5,000 foreign students in fray for entrance in Indian medical colleges. The proportion of students bagging over 600 marks was 2.7 percent for the overseas exam centres, shows a Moneycontrol analysis of data released by National Testing Agency.

The national average was 3.5 percent for nearly 2.4 million students who gave the test this year.
