IIM Calcutta has launched the mock test link for CAT 2024, allowing candidates to practise for the Common Admission Test (CAT). Aspirants can now access the mock test through the official website of IIM CAT at iimcat.ac.in.
This mock test provides a set of questions sourced from previous CAT exams, aiming to help candidates familiarise themselves with different question formats, including multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and non-MCQs, as well as the digital interface used in the exam.
Structure of the CAT 2024 Mock Test
The mock test is designed to mirror the actual CAT exam and is divided into three sections, with a total duration of 120 minutes. Each section has a time limit of 40 minutes. However, candidates in the PwD (Persons with Disabilities) category are given an additional 13 minutes and 20 seconds per section.

In this mock test, the submit button is available for each section, enabling candidates to proceed to the next section even if they finish before the allotted 40 minutes. This feature differs from the actual CAT exam, where candidates must wait until the full 40 minutes per section are completed before moving forward. At the end of the mock test, candidates will see a summary of their responses on the screen.
How to Access the CAT 2024 Mock Test
- Visit the IIM CAT official website at iimcat.ac.in.
- Click on the mock test link provided on the homepage.
- A PDF containing the link to the mock test will open.
- Click on the link in the PDF to start the mock test.
- After completing the test, click submit.
- Download the summary page for future reference.
