The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced a significant change to the schedule of its 70th Combined Competitive Examination (CCE). The Preliminary Examination (PT) for the CCE, originally slated for November 17, has been postponed to a date between December 13 and 14.
In a letter addressed to all District Magistrates, the BPSC cited "unavoidable reasons" for the delay. The commission emphasised the need for adequate examination centres at the district level to accommodate the expected influx of candidates, estimated to be around seven to eight lakh.
To ensure a smooth and fair examination process, the BPSC has laid down specific criteria for the selection of examination centres. These include easy accessibility, good infrastructure (including lighting, water, and seating arrangements), and a peaceful and orderly environment.
District-level authorities have been instructed to identify suitable government and private educational institutions (excluding private colleges) by October 18. The selected centers must be graded as "Excellent," "Very Good," or "Good" based on their facilities and accommodations.
The postponement of the BPSC 70th CCE PT exam is likely to impact the preparation strategies of thousands of aspirants. As the new examination dates approach, candidates are advised to stay updated with official notifications and announcements from the BPSC.
