A man in Punjab's Amritsar claimed he caught his wife with another man inside a hotel for the second time in their 15-year marriage after secretly installing a GPS tracker on her scooter.
The husband, Ravi Gulati, said back in 2018, had had found his wife with someone at a hotel but forgave her for his children's sake.
According to a report by News18, at that time, he called her parents, who spoke to her and apologised. This time, things took a serious turn. Ravi said his wife left home in the afternoon and did not answer repeated phone calls. He had placed a GPS tracker on her scooter due to doubt. After checking the location, he followed the signal and reached a hotel, where he found her red handed.
Speaking with Khabar Har Pal India, Ravi Gulati explained, “I got married to Himani on 25 April 2010. In 2018, my wife was also found with someone in a hotel. At that time, I warned her and called her parents. They came here, explained things and both my wife and her parents apologised. I also forgave her because we had small children and I felt mistakes can happen. Today, my wife left the house around 3 to 3:30 in the afternoon. I called her 15–20 times, but she did not answer. I had installed a GPS tracker on her Activa. I checked the GPS, closed my shop and followed the scooter’s location. I came to this hotel and caught my wife there. I had been suspicious for more than a year, which is why I installed the GPS to know where she was going."
Journalist and filmmaker, Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj, sharing the video on X wrote, “Now she will file false dowry, DV, 125 case on not just husband but his entire family, police will register it happily & court will give her maintenance also because she is abla naari & isolated incidence of adultery doesn’t take away her alimony right."
Ravi’s father, Parvez Gulati, said this issue has been going on for many years. He explained that his daughter in law was caught earlier as well, around five to seven years ago. At that time, both families sat together to sort things out. She said sorry and the matter was settled peacefully. The apology meeting even took place at an MLA’s house and the family believed the problem was over.
He said a similar incident has occurred again, claiming she was found at a hotel and openly stated that she no longer wished to live with Ravi, expressing her desire to return to her parents’ home. Parvez further alleged that the man she was seen with had been introduced to the family as her brother.
According to him, the man frequently visited their home and spent time with the family. He added that repeated attempts have been made to contact her family to resolve the matter, but there has been no response so far, despite requests for them to come forward for discussions.
