Jemima Goldsmith, former wife of ex-Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, has made a public appeal to Elon Musk, claiming that her posts on X regarding Khan’s imprisonment are being deliberately restricted.

She stated that updates about Khan’s 22-month-long solitary confinement, limited access to family, and ongoing legal battles are not reaching the public, both in Pakistan and internationally.

Goldsmith highlighted that her two sons have been unable to see or speak to their father for nearly two years, describing X as the “only place left” to inform the world that Imran Khan is a “political prisoner without basic human rights.”

Jemima Goldsmith urged Musk to “honour the free-speech promises” he made when taking over X and remove the “secret throttling” affecting her account, allowing her to share information about Khan’s detention with the global audience. She described her appeal as a last resort to ensure that the world learns about Khan’s conditions and the human rights concerns surrounding his imprisonment.
