FBI foils suspected terror plot in Michigan, arrests multiple ahead of Halloween weekend

The FBI has not yet released details about the suspects or the nature of the planned attack. Patel said additional information will be shared once the investigation allows.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said on Friday that it had foiled a possible terrorist attack in Michigan, arresting several suspects who were allegedly planning a violent act over the Halloween weekend.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), FBI Director Kash Patel announced the arrests and credited law enforcement for preventing what could have been a major attack.

“This morning the FBI thwarted a potential terrorist attack and arrested multiple subjects in Michigan who were allegedly plotting a violent attack over Halloween weekend," Patel wrote.

He also praised law enforcement personnel for their vigilance, saying, “Thanks to the men and women of the FBI and law enforcement everywhere standing guard 24/7 and crushing our mission to defend the homeland."
