Key problems faced by users
Users reported several problems while trying to access YouTube. Many said that videos were not loading properly or were stuck buffering. Some users also reported problems accessing the website and mobile application.
Another major issue reported during the outage involved YouTube Studio, the platform used by creators to manage their channels and monitor analytics.
Several users said they were unable to view channel statistics, edit uploads, or upload new videos during the disruption.
Social media posts highlight creator tool issues
Multiple users took to social media platform X to report the problem and ask whether the platform was experiencing a wider outage.
One user wrote, “YouTube Studio is down.” Another user tagged TeamYouTube saying that YouTube Studio was not working on both mobile and the website, adding that they could not see their current statistics or edit uploads.
A creator also said they were having trouble uploading a YouTube video, suggesting that the issue may be affecting the platform’s backend services used by content creators.
Another user simply asked, “@YouTube are you down???” as reports of the disruption continued to grow.

At the time of writing, YouTube and its parent company Google had not issued an official statement about the outage.
