Xiaomi has announced the release schedule for its Android 16-based HyperOS 3 update. The company kickstarted its HyperOS 3 beta program a few weeks ago and is almost ready to move in with the stable update, initially for the Chinese market. The rollout will commence in early October, starting with the Xiaomi 15 and Redmi K80 series, and will gradually reach all eligible phones, tablets and TVs until the beginning of 2026.
Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 update release timeline
The HyperOS 3 operating system will boot out of the box in the Xiaomi 17 series, which is scheduled to launch in China this month, on September 25. Xiaomi has also announced a detailed release schedule for this OS update, along with the full list of eligible devices. The company will first roll out the update on October 15, with the flagship models like the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Xiaomi 15S Pro, Xiaomi 15 Pro, Xiaomi 15, and Redmi K80 series, among the first to receive.
Next, Xiaomi's latest foldable phone, the Mix Flip 2, will receive the HyperOS 3 update on October 31, alongside the Redmi K80 and the Civi 5 Pro. Moreover, Xiaomi's Tablet 7 series, Redmi K Pad, Xiaomi TV S Pro Mini LED 2025 series, and Watch S4 series will also receive the update on October 31.
Next, the Xiaomi 14 series, the Mix Fold 4 and the Mix Flip will get the HyperOS 3 update later, on November 15. Older flagship smartphones such as the Xiaomi 13 series and Xiaomi 14 lineup will receive the update before the end of the year. Starting January 2026, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 and Xiaomi Civi series will receive the update. Moreover, their global counterparts are expected to receive the HyperOS 3 update shortly thereafter.
