Apple has announced its quarterly results and hit an all-time revenue record. During the investors’ call, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that the company is bullish on India. Cook revealed that Apple set an all-time revenue record from iPhone in India. “We continue to be excited by the enthusiasm we are seeing in India, where we set an all-time revenue record.”

It wasn’t just iPhone which generated healthy revenue for Apple. Cook also said that the iPad has been doing quite well in India. The iPad, as per Cook, achieved double-digit growth in India.

During the call, Cook also confirmed that Apple will expand its retail presence in India. “We can’t wait to bring four new stores to customers in India,” said the Apple CEO. Apple currently has two stores in India — Apple BKC in Mumbai and Apple Saket in New Delhi. The four new stores are expected to come up in Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai and Delhi-NCR. Apple had last month revealed its expansion plans and now Cook has also confirmed them.

Apple’s revenue from iPhone grew in almost every geographic segment. “We also set September quarter segment revenue records in the Americas, Europe, and the rest of Asia Pacific, as well as in a large number of countries, including the United States, Brazil, Mexico, France, the UK, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Saudi Arabia and the UAE,” said Cook.
