Interestingly, it appears that Samsung is likely to launch another foldable device alongside the Galaxy Fold 8 series, aiming to give the Cupertino-based tech giant a tough fight in the market, with similar dimensions and screen sizes.

As per a report by Korean news outlet ETNews, Samsung is preparing to launch a new foldable smartphone, internally codenamed ‘Wide Fold,’ in the second half of 2026. The model will reportedly feature a 7.6-inch inner screen along with a smaller 5.4-inch cover display. The wider profile means that this foldable could have a passport-like design with a 4:3 aspect ratio, and could be smaller and wider than Samsung's current taller, narrower design.
