Samsung Innovation Campus to train 20,000 Indian students in future-tech during 2025

Expansion in scale
In 2024, Samsung Innovation Campus trained around 3,500 students across four states. For 2025, the company plans to increase this number nearly six-fold, reaching 20,000 students in 10 states. This expansion is part of Samsung’s commitment to support the Government of India’s Digital India and Skill India missions, ensuring that young people are equipped for the digital economy.

Focus on future technologies
The programme will concentrate on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, and Coding & Programming. These domains are considered essential for employment opportunities in the technology-driven workforce of the future. Apart from technical training, the initiative will also provide soft skills development and job placement assistance to eligible candidates.

Key states and beneficiaries
A major focus this year will be Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, where 5,000 students in each state will be trained in emerging technologies. Other states covered include Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and Maharashtra. The programme aims to reach both urban and semi-urban regions, creating opportunities for students from underserved communities.

Partnerships for implementation
To deliver the training, Samsung has signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). One is with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) to train 10,000 students in five states, and the other is with the Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC) to cover another 10,000 across five more states. Both organisations operate under the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and will use their accredited training partners and centres for implementation.

Samsung Innovation Campus has trained 6,500 students in India since its launch in 2022. Along with Solve for Tomorrow, another CSR programme encouraging youth-led innovation, it forms a key pillar of Samsung’s efforts to empower young people with digital skills and problem-solving capabilities that contribute to India’s growth.
