Like last year’s Oppo Find X8 Pro, the Find X9 Pro is likely to be launched by the end of the third quarter or at the start of the fourth quarter in China, possibly as soon as September or early October.

According to the reliable Chinese tipster, Digital Chat Station (DCS), the Oppo Find X9 Pro will feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and Low-Injection Pressure Over-Moulding (LIPO) technology, signalling that the phone could have thinner bezels. Moreover, the Chinese brand could abandon the curved design it has previously integrated into its flagship handsets, and instead introduce Find X9 Pro with a flat panel.

The tipster also adds that the Oppo Find X9 Pro will be powered by MediaTek’s forthcoming Dimensity 9500 SoC. For photos and videos, it is said to feature a 200MP periscope telephoto lens at the back, which will be a huge jump from the 50MP telephoto sensor featured in its predecessor.

The Oppo Find X9 Pro is tipped to pack a battery rated somewhere in the 7000mAh range, with the highest estimate around 7,500mAh. This would be a huge upgrade over the Oppo Find X8 Pro, which housed a 5,910mAh cell. While details about the exact wired charging speeds are still unclear, the device is expected to support 50W wireless charging and 80W wired fast charging.

Apart from these features, DCS has also mentioned that the Find X9 Pro gets an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, as well as IP68 and IP69 ratings for improved dust and water resistance.
