Government issues warning for Google Chrome on Windows and Mac devices, asks users to do this immediately

According to the government body, Chrome has some security flaws that can enable scammers to execute a remote attack on the system by bypassing the device's security.

Government has issued a “High” severity warning for the Google Chrome web browser. CERT-In, the government agency that notifies about security flaws, bugs, and issues with apps and services, has reported finding multiple vulnerabilities within some versions of Chrome.

According to the government body, Chrome has some security flaws that can enable scammers to execute a remote attack on the system by bypassing the device's security.

How it affects users

With the existing security flaws, Chrome can let attackers execute “arbitrary codes” on the targeted system. This can compromise devices security and grant attackers privileged access to the system and data. What this means is that attackers can not only access the system, but also the sensitive data stored on the device such as password, baking details, address etc. Which can then lead to financial frauds, banking frauds and more.
