The tech giant, via its support page, also mentioned that with the ‘Page annotations’ feature, we can extract interesting entities from the webpage and highlight them in a single line. Effectively, it creates links on a website that you’ve opened through Google’s browser that the website’s owner did not put there.

When users tap on these highlighted entities, they are redirected to relevant Google Search results. For better safety of web publishers, Google has also offered an opt-out option for these site owners who don't want their site's text to be converted into search links.
The publisher has to fill out an opt-out form and if successfully done, the ‘Page annotations’ feature triggered on the native site will be disabled within a month.
