British actress Gemma Chan, known for her roles in “Crazy Rich Asians” and Marvel movie “Eternals”, has joined the cast of “007 First Light”, the upcoming James Bond game by Hitman maker IO Interactive. Gemma plays senior MI6 official Selina Tan in the action-adventure game. This is Gemma’s debut in video games. IO Interactive dropped the Gemma Chan reveal trailer for the new Bond game at the Xbox Tokyo Game Fest.
In 007: First Light, Selina Tan is MI6’s Head of Tactical Simulation. The spy agency’s Tactical Simulation program is all about taking in promising talents and training them to become elite secret agents. Selina used to be a psychology and strategy academic who became an immersive tech expert. Her role in MI6 requires her to apply scientific precision and give strategic insights to British Intelligence. Here is the Gemma Chan reveal trailer for 007 First Light.
In 007 First Light, the player will get to experience a reimagined origin story of the world-famous fictional superspy, created by author Ian Fleming. In the game, Bond has been newly recruited at MI6. Although sharp and resourceful, his recent actions in the line of duty have been deemed reckless and irresponsible by his superiors. Bond’s boss, however, has some hopes for him and gives him a new mission so that he functions as the agency’s bullet, though with a clear target this time.
007 First Light has a confirmed release date and will launch across PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) on March 26, 2026.
