OpenAI is supercharging ChatGPT’s utility for knowledge work. Starting today, Plus and Pro users (outside the EEA, UK, and Switzerland) can tap into a growing list of internal app connectors—enabling ChatGPT to fetch real-time context from sources like Gmail, Google Drive, Outlook, Teams, and Linear, all while respecting user-level permissions. In a series of posts on X, OpenAI detailed all the new integrations that are coming to ChatGPT.

For users on Team, Enterprise, and Education plans, the list expands to include SharePoint, Dropbox, and Box — positioning ChatGPT as a central AI assistant that can search, summarise, and act on your company’s internal knowledge.

That’s not all. Admins on Team, Enterprise, and Edu plans—as well as Pro users—can now build custom connectors via the new Model Context Protocol (MCP), which is in beta. MCP lets organisations plug in proprietary systems and custom workflows, empowering ChatGPT to reason over internal documents just like it would with the web or standard connectors.

Meanwhile, productivity for Team users on macOS is getting a voice-powered upgrade. OpenAI is rolling out record mode—a new feature that allows ChatGPT to capture live meetings, brainstorms, or voice notes.
