Activision has announced a limited-period free trial for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, giving players an opportunity to experience key parts of the game without purchasing it. The trial offers access to select multiplayer modes, more than 20 multiplayer maps, Zombies mode, and seasonal in-game content tied to the ongoing CODMAS event. The move is aimed at letting players explore the core gameplay systems ahead of a full purchase.

What is included in the free trial
As part of the free trial, players can jump into multiple Call of Duty Black Ops 7 multiplayer modes across over 20 maps. This includes the remastered Nuketown 2025 map, which comes with updated visuals and gameplay adjustments compared to earlier versions. The trial also unlocks the Zombies mode, including the mission titled “Ashes of the Damned,” giving players access to the cooperative experience that remains a key part of the Black Ops franchise.
In addition to standard multiplayer and Zombies, the free trial overlaps with the in-game CODMAS event. Players can access the seasonal “Sleighjacked” multiplayer map and a limited-time Holiday Havoc playlist, which combines multiple modes with festive-themed elements.

Free trial dates and availability
The Call of Duty Black Ops 7 free trial runs from December 16 through December 22, 2025. During this period, players can download and play the trial version on supported platforms where the game is available. Once the trial window ends, access to the included modes and maps will require the full version of the game.
