Design and displayBoth the M4 and M5 MacBook Pro models share the same aluminium body and weigh 1.54 kg. However, Apple has Space Black colour shade as an option with the M5 variant instead of Grey, alongside Silver. In terms of display, both laptops have a 14.2-inch screen with a resolution of 3,024 by 1,964 pixels and 254 ppi. These screens also support ProMotion with adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz with True Tone technology.

PerformanceThe M5 MacBook Pro offers the M5 chipset with a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU, like the M4 chipset. However, the M5 SoC includes a Neural Accelerator within each GPU core, which aims to boost on-device AI performance. Apple also claims that the M5 can deliver 3.5 times faster AI performance and 1.6 times faster graphics compared to the M4.
