Quick Share now communicates with AirDrop when the two devices are in proximity. Users can initiate a transfer from either platform, and the receiving device will show a standard prompt to accept the file. The process supports media files, documents and other commonly shared formats. According to Google, the system was designed with multiple security layers and underwent external security testing to ensure data protection during transfer.
