Amazon is down: Users are unable to access the app and website of the online shopping platform

Amazon is suffering from an outage. Not many people have been affected, but it looks like the outage is big enough to let users post about it on X as well as report it on Downdetector.

It appears that the online shopping platform – Amazon India – is suffering from an outage. Several users have reported facing issues with the e-commerce platform and has also reported the same on the live outage tracking platform, Downdetector as well as social media platform – X.

Issues users are facing According to the downdetector platform, users are unable to access Amazon’s mobile app as well as the website. Which is rendering them unable to buy or check their order details.

According to the report, around 78% of people have reported facing issues with the Mobile app, while 21% of them have reported issues with the home page and the remaining are facing issues at the checkout page.

Social media report on the outage Amazon users facing issues with the platform have taken X to post about the outage. We can see posts as old as 3 hours and the latest one surfaced around 12 minutes ago. According to the X posts, the Amazon Mobile app is returning the error “Uh-Oh. Something went wrong on our end”. Apart from this, users are also facing a “No Internet” error as well.

We at Moneycontrol tried accessing the website as well as the Amazon app. In our test, the website was working fine, however, the mobile app returned the “Something went wrong” error. Apart from this, we also noticed that the website is loading a lot slower than it should. We tested this on both out office internet as well as 5G internet connectivity.

Amazon acknowledgement As of now, Amazon has not acknowledged this outage and the status page is also clean with no signs of the service outage as of now.
