AJ Lee joins CM Punk against Seth Rollins-Becky Lynch, WWE set tone for Brock Lesnar vs John Cena

Did WWE just get hotter? The pro-wrestling company is heading towards a direction to present fans with a dream match featuring WWE's power couple CM Punk and AJ Lee against current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and his wife Becky Lynch, who is also the WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion.

While the feud between Punk and Rollins is not new and has been running for years even when the former was away from the company, fans now witness an extra layer of excitement in it. It all started at the Clash in Paris, when Lynch appeared as a mask man and cost Punk an opportunity to claim the Heavyweight title from her husband.

Although it was a Fatal Four Way action, Punk had things under control as Jey Uso and LA Knight, the other two participants, were not present anywhere in the scene and he had Rollins all set for a GTS (Go To Sleep). However, then appeared a masked man, who took Punk out with a low blow, allowing Rollins to capitalise and retain his title.

However, this did make way for WWE to introduce AJ Lee, which was the case as the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown took place at Chicago, Punk's hometown. The segment was kept right at the end, and Punk even teased the names of Bayley and Rhea Ripley before presenting fans with the moment they were waiting for.

Lee after making her way to the ring straightaway ambushed Lynch, who until then was disrespecting Punk. Lynch took a beating but ultimately managed to retrieve before being joined by husband Rollins. Punk, on the other hand, joined his wife Lee inside the ring.
