Samit Dravid, the son of India legend Rahul Dravid, was back in the headlines, this time for his swashbuckling shot in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 tournament. 18-year-old Samit represents Mysuru Warriors in the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) T20 league and a video of him smashing a towering six against Bengaluru Blasters is now doing rounds on social media. In the video, Samit can be seen dislodging a length delivery between the long-on and mid-wicket area for a maximum, following which many cricket enthusiast drew similarities between him and his father, also an ex-India cricketer and former coach.

Apart from the stylish shot, Samit couldn't do much with the bat and returned to the pavilion after a run a ball seven. Here is the video:

If we talk about the outcome of the match, Samit ended up on the losing side. His team Mysuru Warriors endured a four-wicket hammering against Bengaluru Blasters. Mysuru, who were invited to bat first in a rain curtailed encounter, managed to pile a staggering 182/6 in 18 overs. While Samit managed 7(7), his teammates Harshil Dharmani scored 50 off 32 balls, while Manoj Bhandage returned unbeaten on 58 off 33 deliveries.

Bengaluru Blasters in response chased down the total with five balls to spare. While it was a team effort, Bhuvan Raju emerged as the highest scorer from the Bengaluru camp. Raju was run-out for 51(24).
