The tension between India and Pakistan continued to brew as both teams met at the Asia Cup final in Dubai on Sunday. It started with drama as India captain Suryakumar Yadav didn't take part in the traditional photoshoot with the trophy, leaving Salman Ali Agha to pose alone with it.
Then the Indian team maintained the no-handshake policy during the toss, which in a rare instance was conducted in the presence of two members from the broadcasting team. Ravi Shastri did the introduction, following which Suryakumar spoke with the former India cricketer and ex-coach, while Salman spoke with Pakistan pace great Waqar Younis.
Jasprit Bumrah added more drama in the 18th over, which was after dismissing tail-ender Haris Rauf. Bumrah delivered a fine yorker to get rid of Rauf, uprooting his stump in the process and then breaking into the flight dip gesture for which the Pakistan player has already been fined. Rauf was dismissed for 6(4). Here is the video:
Rauf has been in the news for the same celebration, which he did to mock the Indian fans during the Super Four encounter between the two, which India won by six wickets. His gestures were called provocative and was linked to Pakistan's claim of bringing down Indian fighter jets during the Operation Sindoor.
Meanwhile, after being invited to bat first by Suryakumar Yadav, openers Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman gave Pakistan added 84 runs for the first wicket before Varun Chakaravarthy broke the partnership.

Pakistan were still doing good until 113, when the second wicket fell in the form of Saim Ayub, who was dismissed for 14(11) by Kuldeep Yadav. Then came the epic collapse as Pakistan lost the next eight wickets for 33 runs.
Kuldeep Yadav was the pick among the Indian bowlers, registering four scalps and conceding just 30 runs in his quota of overs. Bumrah, Chakaravarthy, and Axar Patel scalped two wickets each.
