Jasprit Bumrah triggered a moment of laughter in the press-conference room after a phone of a reporter placed alongside the microphones rang. Bumrah was then recalling his most memorable moment and tackling with judgment before getting distracted with the call. The phone ringing prompted Bumrah to look into it and he jokingly said: "Somebody's wife is calling. But I will not pick it up," before placing the phone on side.

Bumrah, who was rested for the Edgbaston Test, returned to business and registered his maiden five-wicket haul at Lord's. He returned with figures of 5/74 under scorching London, helping India fold England at 387.

The 31-year-old earned a spot on the Lord's honours board. But for Bumrah, memories hold a more special place than records and milestones. He took a trip down memory lane and reminisced about India's tour of England in 2021.

In the second Test at Lord's, Bumrah fell for a duck and went wicketless in the first innings. In the second essay, Bumrah combined with Mohammed Shami to help India rise from a precarious position. The duo then stitched an invaluable 89-run unbeaten stand to steer India to 298/8. He mustered up 34(64) while Shami flaunted his boundary-hitting muscle and hammered 56(70).
