India and England are tied in an intriguing contest at Lord's with the five-match series tied at 1-1. The first innings are done and there is nothing that can separate the two. As the excitement builds, fans are also getting to witness some intense clashes among players on the field, like we did in the closing moments of Day 3.
With India all-out for 387, the exact score for which England were dismissed in their first innings, the hosts had to survive the final few moments of Jasprit Bumrah, who we all know is how difficult to deal with.
As expected, England openers Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett took their time to settle down, often delaying or stopping Bumrah in his run-up. These time wasting tactics by Crawley made Gill agitated and while reacting to it the Indian skipper was also seen making an obscene gesture at the England opener.
The tension only grew further as the over was bowled by Bumrah. Shortly after getting hit on the gloves while trying to defend a good length delivery, Crawley asked for medical attention.
Gill was not at all pleased with the turn of events and he rushed towards Crawley, which almost snowballed into a brawl like situation. Both players got into an intense argument, with fingers being pointed at each other before Duckett arrived to the scene and took Gill away.
Gill, however, still angry tried to argue with Duckett, possibly communicating what went wrong between the two.
KL Rahul, who scored a century earlier in the day, was also seen at the heart of the scene, while Mohammed Siraj, who is also known to be an aggressive custodian, kept sledging the English batters during the over.
England eventually finished the day at 2/0, setting up an exciting Sunday for cricket enthusiast.
