Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar on Monday stated that his son, Arjun Tendulkar, is engaged. Earlier in the month, reports surfaced that Arjun had gotten engaged to Saaniya Chandok, the granddaughter of Mumbai tycoon Ravi Ghai. But since Sachin and his family had remained silent, rumors circulated on social media. During a Reddit Ask Me Anything (AMA) session, the 52-year-old Sachin announced the news about Arjun's engagement.
During an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session organized on a social media platform on Monday, when Sachin was asked – “Is Arjun’s engagement true?”, he replied – “Yes, absolutely! We are all very excited about the new phase of Arjun’s life.” His response served as the news' official confirmation.

Saaniya's grandfather is Ravi Ghai, a businessman from Mumbai. The Brooklyn Creamery and the InterContinental hotel are just two examples of the notable contributions the Ghai family has made to the food and hospitality industries. Only close friends and family members from both families were present at Arjun and Saaniya's intimate engagement.
Arjun is a left-arm fast bowling all-rounder who now represents Goa in domestic cricket. For the Mumbai Indians (MI), he has also participated in the Indian Premier League (IPL). After playing cricket in Mumbai's junior leagues, he was chosen for the India U19 squad.

The 25-year-old moved to Goa in 2022–2023 and played his maiden List A and first-class matches there after making his T20 debut for Mumbai against Haryana in 2020–21. Even though Arjun hasn't played for India yet, the all-rounder has established himself in domestic cricket. In 2022, he made his List A and first-class debut. Arjun has participated in 17 First-Class matches, 18 List A matches, and 24 Twenty20 matches during his career. He presently plays domestic cricket for Goa after leaving Mumbai in 2022.
