Team India once again dictated the proceedings in the ongoing Test against Bangladesh as the tourists finished Day 3 at 158/4, still requiring 357 more runs to win. Ashwin, who had earlier frustrated Bangladesh with the bat, returned to haunt them, only this time with the ball. He has picked three wickets in the second innings and will be itching to add more when play resumes on Day 4.
Jasprit Bumrah, the usual suspect, featured yet again on the wicket list as he provided India with a much-needed breakthrough. He broke the 62-run opening stand between Zakir Hasan and Shadman Islam, packing the former for 33(47) deliveries.

While Bumrah did what he does best, he was also seen getting involved in a hilarious banter with teammate and bowling partner Mohammed Siraj. The incident took place on the fifth delivery of the 19th over, which was bowled by Bumrah.
The pacer pitched a short delivery coming at Najmul Hossain Shanto's chest, which was well picked by the Bangladesh skipper, who pulled it towards the square leg with Siraj fielding at that position. However, a delay in reaction by Siraj, forced him to pull a dive in order to save the ball from reaching the boundary rope, leaving his teammates in splits.
Bumrah, too, had a funny take on the delay and gestured Siraj if specs are required with a smile. The incident also drew reactions from the commentary box with former India coach Ravi Shastri saying: "Bumrah telling 'you need some specks.'" He also felt Siraj won't be much "pleased" with Bumrah's gesture.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant standing close to the stump mic also were heard reacting to Siraj's lapse of concentration. While the audio was not very clear, but if listened closely, Rohit was heard saying: "ball hi nahi dikha usko."
Earlier, Shubman Gill and Pant resumed the proceedings on Day 3 from the overnight score of 81/3. The pair started things slowly but after having their eyes set they switched gears. India scored 124 runs in the opening session and the second session saw both batters slamming their respective tons. India eventually declared the second innings on 287/4, leaving Bangladesh with a 515-run target.
India had piled 376 in their first innings, with Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja leading the show. The bowlers then joined the party and folded the Bangladesh first innings for 149, allowing India to take complete control in the match.
