David Warner is one of the most loved cricketers in India. His stint in the IPL, plus his admiration of the Indian culture make him a fan favourite and on many occasions there have been demands of an "Aadhar Card" in jest for the former Australian opener. Not just that Warner is often seen engaging with Indian fans on social media, expanding his knowledge about the country and him participating in viral trend such as the Pushpa celebration have helped him gain massive popularity in the sub-continent.
If we look into his cricket profile, Warner is a renowned custodian when it comes to explosive hitting. For Australia's across all formats and in the IPL, Warner has played some memorable knocks, which made him an asset for any team he played for.

Warner, who announced retirement from international cricket in June last year, is currently engaged in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he is leading Karachi Kings - one of the six franchises of the tournament. However, before he could even start the tournament Warner had to tackle a rather inciting question from a Pakistan reporter.
The reporter claimed that Warner was trolled by many Indians for taking part in the PSL after failing to find any bidders at the IPL mega-auction held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia last year and sought a reaction from the opener to it. Warner obliged and responded it was the first time he heard of it and explained his reasons behind playing in the PSL.
“This is the first I've heard of it. From my perspective, I want to play cricket. There's an opportunity to come to PSL. My international calendar didn't allow me to come to PSL due to the timings. Now, I want to compete, captain the Karachi Kings, and hopefully we are able to win the trophy,” said Warner.
Not the best of start
Warner, however, didn't have the best of start in the ongoing edition of PSL and managed just 12(6) in the outing against Multan Kings. However, his team didn't disappoint and completed the massive 235-chase with four balls to spare and won the match by four wickets.
Blazing knocks by James Vince (101 off 43) and Khushdil Shah (60 off 37) stood as the difference between winning and losing between the two sides in a high-scoring thriller.
