Gujarat Titans continued their impressive run in IPL 2025 as the Shubman Gill-led unit defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 38 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Friday evening. The win pushed Titans to the second position on the points table and gave them a major boost in the playoffs race. Gill led the team from front and smashed 76 off 38 balls, which featured 10 boundaries and two maximums.

Despite a stellar show, Gill experienced moments of frustration both while batting and fielding. Gill was run-out after a combined effort by Harshal Patel and Heinrich Klaasen but the GT captain was clearly upset with the decision. Such was his level of frustration that before walking to the dugout he spoke with the on-field umpire and then lashed at the official sitting next to the dugout, the visuals of which didn't take long to go viral on social media. The argument was mostly related to Klaasen's glove, which the GT skipper believed dislodged the bails and not the ball.

Despite the heated argument, Gill eventually made peace with the decision as GT went to pile a mammoth 224/6 on the board after being invited to bat first by SRH.

Gill then experienced another moment of outburst during SRH's run chase, which was led by Abhishek Sharma. The batter scored 74(41) in a losing cause and moments before his dismissal Gill once again found himself embroiled in an argument with the on-field umpire. This time it was due to a DRS review in the 14th over bowled by Prasidh Krishna.
