LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka's one-word post for Rishabh Pant goes viral

Lucknow Super Giants owner Sanjiv Goenka was not in attendance at the Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Stadium when Rishabh Pant smashed his first-ever IPL century for the franchise. But the LSG boss made sure to acknowledge the milestone with a heartfelt message on social media.

Sharing images of Pant’s signature backflip celebration following his unbeaten 118 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Tuesday, May 27, Goenka captioned the post with a one-word tribute: “Pantastic.”

Goenka has been a visible and vocal supporter of the Super Giants throughout the season. From celebrating their wins to offering comfort during their tough moments, he stood firmly by the squad. One of the most telling moments came after their playoff hopes were dashed, when Goenka was seen walking with his arm around Pant, reinforcing his continued backing of the captain and the team.

Coming to the match result, asked to bat first, LSG posted 227 for three riding on skipper Rishabh Pant's 61-ball unbeaten 118 and Mitchell Marsh's 37-ball 67. The LSG captain reached his century in just 54 balls. However, Royal Challengers Bengaluru pulled off a stunning six-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants to seal a place in Qualifier 1.
