World wildlife organisation celebrates milestones in protecting wildlife across the globe in 2025. Conservation efforts span in North America, Asia, Africa and Southeast Asian forests. These projects demonstrate how people and nature can thrive together sustainably.

1. Grasslands Protected in the United States

Sustainable Ranching Initiative improved management of 1.3 million acres. The program partners with 121 private ranches across four states. Native prairies were restored over 45,000 acres through 163 projects. Wetlands received attention too, with 500 acres restored in 16 projects. Ranchers received training to manage landscapes sustainably and responsibly.
