The night sky will witness a celestial event soon. Two asteroids are set to pass Earth on 31 January. NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) is tracking their movement. Scientists confirm that neither poses any danger to the planet.

Asteroid 2015 DJ155: Airplane-Sized Rock in Space

The first asteroid, 2015 DJ155, is approximately 170 feet wide. It will pass Earth at a safe distance of 4.42 million miles. Despite its size, there is no risk of collision. Scientists will use this close approach for detailed observations.

Asteroid 2025 BR2: Another space Rock

The second asteroid, 2025 BR2, is smaller in comparison. It measures around 67 feet in width. It will pass even closer, at 3.21 million miles from Earth. Astronomers will monitor its movement and study its composition.

NASA’s Ongoing Space Monitoring

JPL scientists continue to track multiple asteroids near Earth. Although these pose no threat, their study is important. Close encounters like these help in understanding space rocks better. Experts stress the need for continuous asteroid tracking.
