The ISS travels around the earth at speed unimaginable, 28,000 kilometres per hour. The astronauts have approximately 15 sunrises and sunsets every day. They are all different, little dramas across seasons and oceans and continents. The clouds and seashores and the storms radiate golden light, seen above. Earth is made a living breathing planet, a delicate and magnificent one.
The International Laboratory in Space
The ISS is also not a standpoint of beauty. It is a laboratory in science in which astronauts examine biology, physics and the earth. NASA, Roscosmos, ESA, JAXA and CSA collaborate with each other. Each of the orbits is accompanied by some discoveries as it goes round on our planet.

There are some exceptional sunsets that are taken in space and our planet Earth is seen in its new light. In a way they tell us that our planet is delicate and special. There are no borders, the sea and the woods touch each other in one spectacular panoramic frame.
