In North India (Purnimant calendar) Narada Jayanti is observed on the first lunar day (Pratipada Tithi) during the waning fortnight (Krishna Paksha) of the Jyeshtha month but In South India (Amavasyant calendar) People celebrate on the first lunar day (Pratipada Tithi) of the waning fortnight (Krishna Paksha) in the Vaishakha month. Even though the month names differ, both calendars mark Narada Jayanti on the same day.
Usually, Narada Jayanti falls next day of Buddha Purnima. Buddha Purnima and Narada Jayanti might fall on same day if Pratipada Tithi is skipped.
