Kumiliyam, Ariyalur: The vibrant and spiritually charged Chariot Festival at the Maha Mariamman Vinayagar Temple in Tamil Nadu witnessed a sea of devotees today. Held annually in Kumiliyam village, Ariyalur district, the sacred ritual drew thousands who came together in a powerful display of devotion, unity, and cultural pride.

Annual Rath Yatra

The grand chariot procession, or Rath Yatra, is a highlight of the temple’s calendar and took place with traditional fervour. The beautifully adorned chariot, carrying the divine idols of Goddess Maha Mariamman and Lord Vinayagar, was pulled through the streets by devotees who had gathered from nearby towns and villages.
