With the Maha Kumbh 2025, the world's largest religious gathering, approaching, cutting-edge technology is stepping in to enhance the experience for millions of pilgrims expected to attend this mega event in Prayagraj. Indian auto-tech company Park+ has announced the launch of the city's first smart parking management system, a move aimed at simplifying parking for devotees.
As the official parking partner for the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, Park+ will offer a seamless and efficient parking experience using its app-based solution. Pilgrims can now pre-book, prepay, and easily locate parking spots in government-approved areas. This system is designed to accommodate over 5,00,000 vehicles at 30+ designated parking locations throughout Prayagraj during the 45-day event.

The highlight of this innovative system is its integration with FASTag, which allows car owners to pay for parking without any manual intervention. By leveraging AI-powered technology, the system predicts parking patterns, monitors fill rates, and enhances overall efficiency. Pilgrims can access cashless transactions, eliminating the need for physical currency and speeding up the parking process.
Amit Lakhotia, Founder and CEO of Park+, highlighted the scale of the project: “Over 40 crore pilgrims are expected to visit Maha Kumbh, and we anticipate more than 25 lakh vehicles to converge in Prayagraj. Through our smart parking services, devotees can enjoy a hassle-free experience, pre-book secure spots, and manage payments effortlessly on the Park+ app.”

The Park+ parking zones are designed to offer a comprehensive range of services beyond parking. Pilgrims will have access to 24x7 security, CCTV surveillance, EV charging stations, washrooms, medical support, and food and beverage facilities. Dedicated vehicle maintenance stalls will also ensure the safety and functionality of parked vehicles.
Hitesh Gupta, Co-Founder and CTO of Park+, added, “Our AI-powered systems will predict parking demand, assist in EV charging management, and improve the overall parking experience. Additionally, car owners will receive alerts for pending challans and expired PUC certificates.”
