China's consumer price index (CPI) rose 4.6% in December, slowing from 5.1% in November, the Hong Kong-based Phoenix Television reported on its website on Wednesday, citing an unnamed source from the central bank.

China's consumer price index (CPI) rose 4.6% in December, slowing from 5.1% in November, the Hong Kong-based Phoenix Television reported on its website on Wednesday, citing an unnamed source from the central bank.

China's gross domestic product (GDP) grew 10.3% last year, it added. The median forecast of economists polled by Reuters was for December's CPI to rise 4.4% and GDP to increase 10.2%. China's full-year CPI in 2010 rose an average of 3.3%, while the producer price index increased an average of 5.9% in 2010, Phoenix TV added. China is scheduled to publish the numbers at 0200 GMT on Thursday.
