A student at a university in Sonipat, Haryana, was caught attempting to bring a girl—reportedly his girlfriend—into the boys’ hostel by hiding her inside a large suitcase. The incident, captured on video and shared widely on social media, has raised questions about campus security and student conduct.

The footage shows the student trying to wheel a large trolley bag into the hostel. Security guards are seen stopping him and unzipping the suitcase, revealing a girl curled up inside. It remains unclear how university staff became aware of the situation. Some unverified reports suggest the girl may have screamed when the suitcase hit a bump or stair, alerting security personnel. So far, the university administration has not issued a detailed statement regarding the incident. However, speaking to India Today, the university’s Public Relations Officer said, “Our students were just being mischievous, and because our security is tight, the student was caught. It’s not a big deal. Our security is always strict, and no one has filed any sort of complaint regarding the matter.”
