Mahadik, known for her commitment to upcycling, recently took the internet by storm as she transformed a Parle-G biscuit wrapper into a chic sling bag. Her video tutorial, shared on Instagram, has a staggering 2.2 million views.
Reminiscent of luxury brand Balenciaga's Lay's bag, Mahadik had a response: “If Balenciaga can, so can we!”
Mahadik takes her 8.45 lakh followers through the step-by-step process of creating the unconventional sling bag in the viral video shared last week.
Drawing inspiration from high-end fashion, she ingeniously repurposes the biscuit wrapper by enclosing it between transparent plastic sheets, securing them with precision on a sewing machine.
A touch of flair is added with a vibrant red cloth and a chain border, transforming the Parle-G packaging into a fashion-forward accessory.
Mahadik's caption accompanying the Instagram said: "I love quirky stuff!"
The comments section reflects the impact of Mahadik's DIY prowess, with users hailing her as a "Perfect example of G-Mane Genius" – Parle-G’s tagline and praising the innovative recycling concept. Some even envision the potential for an advertising campaign, suggesting that Parle-G could consider featuring Mahadik's creations.
