A woman from Missouri, US, allegedly ran over a fast-food manager after a dispute over missing dipping sauce escalated into violence. The unsettling incident, which has drawn widespread attention, occurred at a Jack in the Box restaurant in St. Louis' Central West End neighbourhood.

The incident began on July 16 when Talanye Carter, 41, returned to the restaurant to complain about a missing chicken strip from her previous order.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed in St. Louis Circuit Court, the manager, whose identity has been withheld, replaced the missing strip in an attempt to placate Carter. However, this gesture did not satisfy Carter, who then became irate over the lack of ranch dressing provided with her meal.

The affidavit states that Carter's frustration reached a boiling point, prompting her to spit in the manager's face. The confrontation did not end there. When the manager followed Carter to the parking lot to note her license plate number, Carter's fury intensified.
